    6th December

Today we had a story about a sock.  A special sock (often called a “stocking”) with gold coins left in it by a shy man who wanted to do something kind for some poor sisters.  It was quite delightful to reach into that sock and find gold coins for everyone at Toddler Time (ok – they were chocolates!) Of course, this is what St Nicholas (or Santa) is famous for doing and SO many stories have been told about this generous man – and we seem to like them all.  So we had a second story about a certain red-nosed reindeer who was doing a kind deed for Santa.  We decorated our own stockings with shiny, glittery sparkles and, predictably, made pink playdough out of the white and red.

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way…
