Community Groups

Below is a list of just some of the growing number of ministries
here in our church. Other ways to serve not listed below
include the stewardship team, coffee minisrty, security team,
sides-people, readers and the mission and outreach
committee.  


ACW (Anglican Church Women)

These ladies meet in the annex building on the third Monday of every month at 7:30pm. All ladies welcome.

Altar Guild

This faithful group meets every Saturday at 9:30-11:30am to prepare the church for worship on Sunday. Preparations include arranging flowers, laying out the communion vessles, and setting up the bread machine.The ladies enjoy thier time together as they joyfully serve the church.

Berwick House and The Victorian

Holy Communion with the members of the retirement community. All are welcome to join us. Wednesday mornings. Berwick House at 9:30am and The Victorian at 10:30am. 

Bible Study

Explore the bible with different video series by speakers such as Niki Gumble, Harry Wendt and Charles Price, followed by a discussion time.
WOMEN'S STUDY--Wednesday at 7:30pm- 1841 Penshurst Road
DAYTIME STUDY--Thursday at 10:00am- Youth Room in the annex (Children are welcome!)

Choir

We have three choirs for singers of (almost) all ages directed by Eileen Cooper and Inez St. Dennis. We meet in the church sanctuary.

ADULT CHOIR--Thursday at 7:00pm
MUSICAL NOTES (Changed voice youth choir)--Friday at 5:00pm-6:00pm
EIGHTH NOTES (Treble choir for Gr. 2 and up)--Friday at 4:00pm-5:00pm
 

Crafting and Quilting Group

Come and join the fun and conversation, and enjoy tea and goodies with this wonderful group of ladies.They meet every Tuesday at 1:00-4:00pm.
 

English Conversation Sessions

A group for new Canadians or anyone wishing to practice their English in conversation. Held in the annex building Mondays at 7:00-8:00pm or Tuesdays at 1:00-2:00pm. Please contact Derek Ellis @ 250-477-4366 if you have any questions.

Gardening Group

Our lovely gardens are maintained by a team of dedicated gardeners. All green (and brown) thumbs are welcome.Tuesdays at 1:00-4:00pm.
 

Newsletter

A monthly newsletter is published by a very ambitous member of our congregation. It is put out on the first Sunday of each month, and the deadline for submissions is the Thursday before.
 

Parish Council

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month. All interested in the goings on of our parish are welcome
 

Prayer Time

Prayer undergirds all ministires in the parish, so come and spend some quiet time before God. We have a book for prayer requests on the table in the narthex of the church.
MORNING PRAYER--Wednesday mornings at 10:00am- Call Ramona at (250) 382-4682 for directions
EVENING PRAYER--Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm- 1841 Penshurst Road.
 

Toddler Time

This thriving group of toddlers (and babies) and their care-givers is a drop-in time with activities for the children, and conversation and tea for the adults. They meet in the annex building on Friday mornings from 9:30-11:30am. For more info, please email : stdunstanstoddergroup@gmail.com
 

Young Adults Group

Our young adults group meets every second Saturday to watch Nooma videos, have discussions, sing worship songs and do tons of activies (photo scavanger hunts, barbecues etc.) For more info, call Ramona at (250) 382-4682 or check out our Facebook Page--St. Dunstan's Young Adults

Youth Group

The Youth Group is for Gr. 5 - Gr. 10. We meet on Fridays from 6:30-8:30pm. The schedule is split into Jr. nights (Gr. 5-7), Sr. nights (Gr. 8-10) and combined nights. There are cool activities like movie nights, board (or video) games, themed parties, and field trips. Several of our older youth attend as assistants/mentors. We also have a monthly prize draw. All new members recieve a goodie bag / welcome pack. The schedule is available through the community events calendar.
